The Inclusion service aims to support inclusion and mainstreaming of service provision for people with learning disabilities and their carers in the south Asian communities within the borough of Rochdale.
It also aims to support people with disabilities and their carers in their tenancies by ensuring adaptations are carried out where necessary and by supporting them in finding appropriate accommodation to meet specific needs.
The inclusion service will ensure that carers have access to all of the support, information and guidance that you need whilst linking you with the appropriate carers services and groups.
Support includes, benefit advice, bi-lingual support, accessing information, finding appropriate accommodation and maintaining tenancies. The service can also offer support in maximising your income and help managing your finances.
The inclusion service can provide an interpreting and translating service in Urdu, Punjabi, Mirpuri, Bengali and Hindi to meet your language needs.
Under the inclusion ’umbrella’ lie the single sex, multi cultural service Muskaan, the volunteering and befriending project and the Aashiyana carers group
