A big well done to volunteer Louis Tweedale who ‘Braved the Shave’ to raise money for McMillan Cancer Relief. Louis decided to forgo his flowing locks following his granddad, Steve Morris, being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer earlier in the year. Louis set himself a target of £100, but smashed this by raising £657! Many Gateway staff contributed towards Louis’ impressive fund raising.
Before Steve became poorly, he volunteered every Tuesday to provide the Muskaan ladies a well loved activity at Kirkholt Bowling Club. Kirkholt Bowling Club organised a socially distanced bowling competition played over two weekends in September which raised over £650 for Marie Curie.
