We are recruiting Support Workers to join our Day Services team, supporting adults wth learning disabilities across
community-based settings throughout the Rochdale borough.

Support Worker (Days & Evenings) – Bank
Location
Millgate House – Whitworth
Millgate House in Whitworth is a residential and respite service supporting adults with learning disabilities. We are recruiting Support Workers to join our team on a permanent or bank basis.
Hours & Shifts
- Casual Hours (bank)
- Day and evening shifts
- Multiple shift patterns between 8am and 8pm
- Shifts available Monday to Sunday
The Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred support, helping individuals with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and meaningful lives in line with CQC fundamental standards.
Key Duties
- Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living tasks
- Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
- Supporting individuals to access the community and activities
- Following care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
- Working as part of a supportive and professional team
What We’re Looking For
- A caring and compassionate approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to person-centred care
- Experience is desirable but not essential – full training provided
What We Offer
- £13.45 per hour
- Flexible bank work
- Full induction and ongoing training

Day Services across the Rochdale Borough, including Shawforth and Whitworth
Hours & Shifts
- Casual Bank Hours
- Day shifts only
- Monday to Friday
- 9:30am – 3:30pm

What We Do
Rochdale Gateway Leisure is a charity that has provided valuable care and support to people with disabilities in the North-West of England for over thirty years.
Rochdale Gateway Leisure currently supports people through a range of disability support services. These include:
- Day service provision delivered through four services across Rochdale and Oldham
- Respite and Residential Services, Single Sex service and various accessible activities.
- Social clubs providing safe social settings for almost 100 people.
- Accessible Rainbows café.
Our goal is to further develop our existing services, provide support to a greater number of people, and explore building our expertise in related areas such as autism.
