Pushing for Progress: Autism Hub and Co-Production Event

Pushing for Progress: Autism Hub and Co-Production Event

We are excited to announce our ongoing efforts to establish an Autism Hub at the Gateway Centre.

This initiative is crucial for providing specialised support and resources for individuals with autism in our community. Additionally, we are partnering with Rochdale Council to host an Autism Co-Production Event across the borough. This event is a platform for collaboration and dialogue, aiming to drive meaningful change for people with autism.

Our next event is scheduled for September 11th, from 11 am to 1 pm, with subsequent sessions planned every six weeks. We encourage everyone to join us and be part of this vital conversation.

Gateway Leisure Appoints David Oglaza as New Chief Officer

Gateway Leisure is excited to announce the appointment of David Oglaza as the new Chief Officer, effective from Wednesday, 4 September 24.

David brings a wealth of experience from his previous role as Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Advice East Lancashire, where he successfully led numerous key initiatives. His leadership saw the organisation secure additional funding, increase the number of clients and service users, diversify funding sources, and strengthen stakeholder relationships. We are confident that David’s expertise will guide Gateway Leisure toward further growth and success.

As we welcome David, we would also like to express our deep appreciation to Helen for her outstanding contributions over the last 12 months. Her energy, professionalism, and dedication have left Gateway Leisure in a stronger position, and her presence will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

We look forward to the exciting new chapter David will bring to Rochdale Gateway Leisure!

Masquerade Fundraiser Ball – A Night to Remember!

Masquerade Fundraiser Ball – A Night to Remember!

This summer, we hosted an unforgettable Masquerade Ball, a ticketed event where guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal and complimentary drinks.

The evening was filled with excitement, thanks to the incredible support from both local and wider communities. We were thrilled with the turnout and deeply grateful for the generous raffle prizes donated by numerous companies. Thanks to everyone’s participation and generosity, we raised an incredible £1,600 for the Gateway Centre. This contribution will significantly support our ongoing initiatives.
