Millgate house provides a 24 hour staffed, short term respite service for individuals over the age of 18 who have a learning disability.

The service provides a break to parents/carers as well as the individual.

Millgate house over looks the pennines and the beautiful scenery make it a tranquil and peaceful place for your respite care and break. The convenience of the location is easily accessible.

The aim at Millgate house is to provide a warm, comfortable, safe and friendly place to stay. Support is available 24 hours by fully trained staff and a healthy lifestyle is promoted by ensuring a balanced diet is offered.

All bedrooms come equipped with wash basin, drawers, wardrobes, flat screen television, SKY, a safe and an emergency call system. As well as a fully adapted bathroom Millgate house now benefits from a brand new shower wet room.

Rooms are accessible for individuals of all abilities and there is a lift available to all floors.

During a stay at Millgate house you have the choice of taking part in various activities. For example, the light stimulation room, the Wii console, scenic walks, cinema trips, Lunch out, shopping, day visits and much more. All activities are tailor-made to suit the individuals needs.
